The second turner to introduce from our the Ten Turners Turning line-up is Mark Sanger.

Here’s some info about Mark…

Mark started turning in 2000 and was soon exhibiting his work in local galleries. In 2004 he left his career to pursue turning as a full time vocation concentrating on hollow and lidded vessels which today include colour and texture as well as sculptural turning, with the lathe being used only as a part process.

Mark has written many articles on woodturning. His first book ‘Turning Hollow Forms’ was published by GMC Publications in 2014. Turning has taken him to America, Australia, Ireland, Spain and around the UK teaching, demonstrating and attending wood art collaborations. Mark also took part in the last Strictly Woodturning event in 2012.

Mark lives in Gillingham in Dorset. For more information about Mark and his work, visit his website.
