  1. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be compatible with the SE-77 jig which is the one used for plane and chisel blades on the Tormek. That particular jig will handle Japanese chisels with short, thick blades and it’s not clear whether on not the jig designed for the UE machine will accept them. I examined the jig in store last Saturday and I suspect that it won’t.
