Woodturning Chuck Packages – Enjoy your turning even more

The Axminster Woodturning chuck packages give you everything you need to start turning. Available with either an SK80, SK100, or SK114 Chuck, the kits give you the ability to mount blanks for initial turning all the way through to the final completion of a well-executed project!

Chuck making history

Our world class chucks were not born overnight. They are the result of over three decades of experience in production and design. Thirty-five years ago Axminster first produced and marketing one of the world’s first four jaw self centering chucks for woodturners. Over the years, much of the development has come from the feedback and input of professional woodturners. Today, we are proud to offer the most extensive range of woodturning chucks, jaws, and accessories available to the Woodturner. We truly believe our latest woodturning chucks are the best on the market today.

What’s in the kit?

All made entirely at Axminster, each package contains either an SK80, SK100, or SK114 chuck. Each available in a range of different thread sizes. As well as the chuck, each kit also includes a set of ‘C’ jaws, a faceplate ring, a screw chuck, a soft grip chuck key and feature the latest SafetyJaw © accessory mounting jaws. All of which will fit the relevant chuck.

Supplied in a 100% recyclable box, the packaging can be used to safely store your kit contents or it can be fully recycled. Axminster Evolution SK114 Chuck Package

Axminster Evolution SK114 Chuck Package

Since first launching the SK80 and SK100 chuck packages, their popularity has grown and grown. The simplicity and ease it gives users when they first purchase the chuck have made these a popular choice for many woodturners. This led us to want to introduce a similar version for the SK114 Evolution Chuck.

The Evolution SK114 Chuck is a world class leader when it comes to woodturning chucks. Recognised and used by many professional Woodturners, the first all British-made super precision woodturning chuck system is packed with innovation and accuracy.

Revolutionary design

The super-slim, compact design keeps the workpiece close to the headstock. This sleek design minimises any vibration whilst you turn, giving you cleaner and accurate results.

Worthy of a super precision status

As with all our chucks, the Evolution SK114 is made entirely in Axminster and machined from stainless steel to eliminate any corrosion. The Evolution SK114 is not plated, unlike other chucks on the market, but it is machined to tolerance for a perfect fit of both jaws and lathe mandrel.

By machining the scroll register and cutting the thread all in one operation, we can ensure that no errors arise in concentricity. In fact, there is no perceivable error in this process. Our jaws are machined to within 2 microns, giving us accuracy worthy of the super precision status.
